1) The Long Way Home - Title track from the Abum and an epic song about breaking out of your everyday mundane existence and finding a better life. Its best described as a driving tune with big guitar tracks and big vocals that would sit right at home in an arena!
2) Runaway - Gritty rocking blues track with a story that strikes a chord with any guy that has a fear of commitment even after falling in love! This and the ever present nagging from surrounding people prompting the only thing he knows how to do.... Run away.
3) Bourbon and Sunsets - Fantastic song about pure escapism and finding that one place where all your problems in life fall away, when you know you should really be dealing with them. Great melody and fantastic harmonies with a laid back country feel.
4) When I Close My Eyes - This song lures you in with a running acoustic guitar riff and and haunting lyrics that leave you feeling like you are being pulled into a dream before exploding into a rock extraviganza. Its the story about parallel lives coming together, destiny and soulmates.
5) Wedding Song - Inspired by actual friends of Ben's who were getting married. Told from the point of view of the groom about his thoughts on the day of his wedding. A sugar coated song about love and everything that is right with the universe!
6) Endless Summer - Palm trees, cocktails, beaches, thunderstorms, sex, music, partying, tropical islands, life and love! Its all here!
7) Just Like Therapy - Little screamer that shows pub rock isn't dead, crunching guitars and big vocals delivered in an infectious tune. This song is about the magnetic attraction of women and the power they wield over us mere mortal men!
8) Broken Dreams - Originally a rock song, this track was given an overhaul and became a piano ballad about breaking up. You can actually feel the pain and emptiness come through in the haunting piano arranged by Chris Bernauer and played beautifully by Sandy McCombe.
9) Mamma I'm Coming Home - Composed in London while Ben was living over there, this song tells the story about wanting to get back to the best things in life. With a rollicking blues feel, its a toe tapping little gem.
10) One Of A Kind - Ben's song about his wife Renai. The lyrics say it all. This song was written in about 2 hours and was a late addition to the album when Anthony(from the studio) said 'you need to add another track....can you knock out an acoustic one?'. Ben says that the subject was the first thing that came to mind and this was one of the easiest songs to write... When you have inspiration like Renai, you can see why!
